Training -Digital Business - Zoom 1st week

This week I was doing cores from Monday to Thursday with nowskills on Digital Business

Day 1

morning

In the beginning, we introduced ourselves by saying our names and then our workplace and job roles, this was really helpful for me and everyone else so we could know more about everyone.

Then we got started and we learnt about what IT is, I already knew what it was but I still found it interesting to learn as I learnt about some detail I never had before. We also learnt how to structure a CV I made some notes but most of it is information I already knew as I made a CV a few weeks ago.

I learnt about databases and personal networks such as

• LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com)

• Spoke (www.spoke.com)

• ZoomInfo (www.zoominfo.com)

• Data.com (https://connect.data.com/)

We did a LinkedIn course about it. we also learnt about SWOT Analysis its also something I have created before.

Day 2

morning

We learnt about all the different Operating Systems why people would use some over others and the speed of them all and how often they all get updates.

We also learnt about Modern Web Technologies and What Web 2.0 is.

afternoon

I learnt about what Crowdsourcing is and what Text messaging and SMS are, I didn't fully understand most of what they were talking about on this day. I'll have to do some more research into them to understand it better.

Day 3

morning

On the 3rd day we were mostly talking about the internet such as

Man = Metropolitan area network ( a town or city )

Lan = Local area network ( a puilding or campus )

Wan = Wider area network. ( The world/ the internet )

Pan = Personal area network. ( shared between devices )

We also dived into the history of it, such as When was the internet formed? By whom also WWW too (The World Wide Web) I found this interesting we also got to use a website called Wayback machine I found that really fun as we got to see how websites looked in the past and we could interact with them.

afternoon

The second half of the day wasn't as fun, we were learning about the speed of broadbands and what IP is and how to track it. Its helpful information but wasn't enjoyable to learn we also looked at Cloud Computing near the end of the day.

Day 4

morning

in the morning we learnt about Web browsers and URLs what the best ones re and why.

Afternoon

We learnt about coding such as HTML Python,JavaScript,PHP,CSS3

We also learnt about file formatting. I was struggling to keep up with that day's session we were learning way too much too in a short amount of time.

Day 5

Had a meeting with Hazel to get all my apprenticeship accounts up to date and making sure I have access to all of them. This was extremely helpful as I didn't have access to them until then and I know how to navigate through them to do stuff such as book holidays and complete assignments now.
