This past week I have been working on completing my onefile tasks i got from dave from nowskills.
CV
One of my tasks was to create a CV. The process of creating a CV was pretty interesting, I learnt alot from my experiences, it was a lot easier to create a CV then I expected. Talking about my past learning and skills I have learnt along the way, it was useful for me to see how far my skills have improved throughout the years, it was enjoyable.
I was tasked to do learning on marketing, I was given freedom to choose what kind of marketing i could learn about, It was nice to explore and expand my knowledge on my chosen subject, I value my time on this as I feel I can use this knowledge in the workplace now to contribute more on the future of DA as i can share and discuss what i have learnt in the marketing course I did.
Documenting news.
The next task I had was to look at digital news and document it. I enjoyed this task as I felt I had a lot more freedom to explore what I am passionate about. There were 2 ways to do this task, talk about news I already knew about or go out looking for some news, I did a bit of both it was nice getting to share news that I heard about and found interesting. This also gave me an opportunity to learn more about what's going on in the digital world. I learnt some pretty interesting stuff that has happened or is going to happen in the future.
Social media
I also started to follow a lot more people on twitter and instagram to expand my knowledge on digital news and also some graphic artists that I thought I could learn from. I have seen a few technees and art styles I could use in the futcher. Also most of the adobe products like photoshop and illustrator have their own separate accounts that will be really helpful and interesting to keep uptodate and learn new skills from.
Some examples of this are
Facebook recently launched a new, mobile version of its Creator studio tool to help better manage your Facebook Pages on the go.
And
Linkedin is adding tools to make their site more engaging and to allow people to grab there audience's attention or gain new followers. As i have started to use linkedin a lot more often recently i have seen some new tools that have caught my attention and will be really helpful, a huge one being Subscribe To Notifications allowing me to keep track of people more easily and making me stay up to date.
