1st day
On the first day we were focusing on extending our knowledge on what we already knew to make sure everyone is up-to-date and all on the same page. This includes things like different types of social media and how they're all used for marketing, and the types of audience for each of them.
In the afternoon we learned more in depth about how to present your company and its Brand Personality. We also learnt about Brand Awareness.
We started to look at what b2b (business-to-business)and b2c(business-to-consumer) is and .
Towards the end of the day we talked about effective Google Ad strategies, how to use them and why. We already had some knowledge about this from a previous learning session at NowSkills.

2nd day
We learnt about ‘The Rules of Social Media’ such as how to communicate online. Things like ‘tone of voice’ is very important as it can make you feel more friendly or open to people by the way you talk to customers.
We also looked into how to build a community and connect with your audience to gain more followers, and get the customers to feel like they want to be a part of our community.
After that we looked into what Reputation Management is and why it’s so important and how to present yourself and your business online.
In the afternoon we did a lot on Buyer Persona; learning what it is and why this is so important.. (Buyer Persona is a fictional character created by a company to test advertising and marketing) We also had a go at creating one; learning what businesses need to consider when targeting audiences.
Day 3
We were learning about cyber threats, and how to protect data and other digital information across digital and social media platforms. We also learnt about types of viruses and how dangerous they are. One example would be a that a cyber attack could lock you out of your computer or server with no way to fix the problem unless you pay, that's called Ransomware.
There are many more attacks like this that people try to use on you. I now have a better understanding of ways to avoid people trying to steal my data through emails and viruses, ransomware and malware. By not opening spam email links and checking the information they send as sometimes it may not be correct. Examples of this include fake websites. They're not just only spam so you need to be careful of most emails you get if it's from someone you don't know.
We learnt about different types of Policies such as, Information Security Policies, Remote Access Policies, Email Policies and more. We also talked about Password Management and Disposing confidential data.

Day 4
We looked at how teams function including things such as the Organisational Structures that are Functional, Divisional, Matrix, Flat or Horizontal. l We learnt how they Function and when and why they might be used.
Function is an organisation which is split up into smaller groups based on specific tasks or roles.
Divisional is usually found within larger companies with several different divisions.
Matrix is a hybrid structure bringing together different structures. It follows a basic functional structure but reporting can change depending on projects.
Flat/Horizontal Eliminates many layers of management from the hierarchy..
Then we looked at what branding is and why they do it. The meaning comes from marking with a branding iron. This means how the logo looks and the colours used, and also maybe a mascot depending on what the organisation. They do this to stand out and to be more recognisable.
We also started to look at hashtags. We learnt how to use them and reasons why to use them. We also talked about what the best types of social media to use them are and how you should use hashtags for each of them.

Day 5
I worked on improving my SEO on Wix from all that I have learnt, I feel really proud about that as now a lot more people will get to see my website/work also I got to use the work I learnt in a great practical way. My SEO is almost complete, all I need to do now is connect my website to a domain.
