DMBP Marketing Practice


This week I was doing training with NowSkills learning about Marketing Practice, the best way to make ads and checks how you and your competitors are doing so you can say ahead of them. Also learning all about analytics.


Day 1


We learned the difference between Traditional and Digital Marketing like door to door and leaflets newspaper letters billboards. compared to digital Marketing such as emails, using Social Media,PPC, and SEO


We also did some work on SEM, Search engine marketing. It's paid strategies on a search engine pay to have their ads visible at the top of Google it has an ad bubble next to them.


We used websites to see how our websites were doing behind the scenes we used GTmetrix and Ubersuggests.

Day 2


We looked at Google Analytics, it’s a free service created by google it lets markers measure user traffic and behavior. Learnt why it’s important for a business and then we made an account and also looked at all the tools on it in detail.


We also learnt a bit about Ppc- (Pay-per-click) internet marketing its a way of buying visits to your site.

Day 3


Using strategies like social listening, keeping up with the trends learning what your type of audience is talking about on social media, and what's popular with your target audience so you can advertise to them a lot better.


Also, there are a lot of tools to use for ways to get an advantage like Keyword research tools, Keyword planner, and Ubersuggest. https://ads.google.com/intl/en_uk/home/tools/keyword-planner/ and https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/


Scheduling tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer. https://www.hootsuite.com/ and https://buffer.com/


Listening/Reputation Management tools such as Awario or Brandmentions/Google Alerts. https://awario.com/ and https://brandmentions.com/ and https://www.google.co.uk/alerts


We also did work on CRM – Customer Relationship Management.


Positives/Negatives of Social Media why a business should use it but how it can be bad if they don’t use it right it might give a bad impression.




Day 4


We went over the best ways to keep your audience to stay with you. Good ways of doing that would be, being consistent doing one post a day, replying to your audience will keep them engaged. Connecting with them, and building a community is a chance for your business to grow.


I learned about what and Why Sale Funnels are Important. It gives you an idea of what stage your customers are at. And how invested they are into your business and how likely they are to buy what your selling .


we also learned more about branding and how important it really is for example branding is Logos to make the company more recognizable and also the font, color, and name. this makes people recognize your brand so you can. gain a bigger following.
