I haven't been as active on my blog for the past week. The reason for that is I have been revising for one of my final apprenticeship exams.
I had little knowledge of the subject, so I knew the exam would be very challenging. The subject of the exam was coding. I have had little to no experience with coding in the past so I have had to learn most of it from the ground up. Luckily, I had a lot of time to learn almost everything I needed to know for the test.
At first, I found it hard to understand coding and it was a little overwhelming as there was so much I had to learn in just a month but I found alot of useful websites and YouTube videos to help me along the way to mastering the basics of coding.
I now know that HTML is the skeleton of a website, CSS is like the artist of the website making everything look nice with colours and layout and PHP makes the website interactive. After I got the hang of coding, I found I started to enjoy expanding my knowledge on a new subject. I feel like I have learnt so much in just a short time.
All my hard work and revision paid off as I passed the exam getting an 87%. I was so proud of how well I have done and I'm hoping the next exams will turn out to be just as good or better.
After the test was finished I needed to crack on completing the work that I was doing before the revision. As it's December and people are starting to get into the Christmas mood, my next task was to create a Christmas animation/ card. There is a new Adobe product I was thinking about using to do this task called Adobe Fresco. It has been a challenge to learn how it works as it's very different to the Adobe products I normally use. I'm still trying to get a hang of it. I haven't started creating the card yet. I’m still working on the ideas of what I want to create at the moment. Here is what I have been working on so far.
